Usually, someone will come to me to share a testimony or testimonies about what God has done in his/her life. My response is almost always the same! "Hey, you've got to share this testimony. It'll encourage someone you know". Some of them will quickly tell me they are shy and cannot share in public!
Then there is a certain woman who always has a testimony to share, and she is not shy about it at all. She is at my church. Her request to share a testimony is always met with hand claps, groans, and grunts too because most of the time, we know what she is going to say. Whereas people are waiting for God to do never-seen-before spectacular miracles before they talk about it, this woman will praise God openly among the congregation for everything!
The writer of Psalm 66 too portrays an eagerness to praise and thank God. He is so excited about what God has done for him that he cannot keep it to himself. He just has to tell it! He wants to tell it to anyone who will listen! In verse 16, he bursts out, "...let me tell you what He has done for me."
Surely, God has done something for you too. Often, we do not talk about it because we do not think it is big enough! We tend to think waking up, driving up and down, having food to eat, clothes to wear, our kids being safe, etc. are just regular, ordinary everyday occurrences and not worth praising God openly for!
With ice on the ground and freezing rain falling yesterday, I spent most of the day on the road. There were a number of cars in ditches; still, I made it to every place I had to be and got back home safely. Now that is something worth sharing!
Let us be quick to tell others what God had done for us. It inspires them; it boosts their confidence in God and encourages them in this journey called life! Tell it freely and openly!
Love, Lady Mo ❤
