We have been discussing sin for the last couple of weeks in our School of Faith Bible Study sessions. We have talked about all kinds of sins-secret/hidden sins, deliberate sins, besetting sins, etc and we are not yet done with this topic.
Through it is not the most comfortable of topics, understanding sin gives us a better appreciation of God's salvation, mercy and love! We cannot talk about sin without talking about God's mercy and how He treats sin and us sinners.
God is always eager to forgive us, welcomes the opportunity to do so and is always waiting to forgive us the moment we ask! He invites us to come to Him to freely receive forgiveness. He hates sin but loves us so much that He will do whatever it takes to clean us up! Ok, that is amazing!
Then once He forgives us, He forgets! However deep or dark the sin is, once God cancels it, that is it. Listen to what He says in Isaiah 44:22, "I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.” Isaiah 44:22
Have you seen the sun break through the morning mist? It makes it disappear for good. Do not let any sin you have confessed keep weighing you down, do not judge yourself for it, God is not judging you, He does not even remember it. Do not let the devil deceive you to keep holding on to unconfessed sin because you think it is too big for God to forgive. It is not! His love for you is strong enough to erase every and any sin! He is a good father indeed! Muse on that.
Love, Lady Mo ❤
