God is perfect but does not expect us to be perfect before coming to Him. He does not wait for things to align properly and perfectly before He acts. He takes little and turns it into much. He takes foolishness and brings wisdom out of it. He take a few and create miracles out of them. Whatever you present to God, He is able to turn around and use for His purposes. Come as you are; bring just what you have; place all in His hands and watch Him work.
How else will David "come to a sword fight with a rock" and still win. It is only with God's involvement that a young boy could have the audacity to challenge a giant clad in battle gear from top to bottom with five stones and a sling.
It makes no sense for three hundred men to go up against an innumerable company of superior fighting men with no weapons (just torches, trumpets and their voices) and prevail! Remember Gideon?
I would not even think of feeding a couple of hungry teens with five loaves of bread and two pieces of fish. As ridiculous as it sounded, when Jesus was presented with these He blessed the food and it fed more than five thousand hungry souls who had been following Him all day!
What good is a staff except to guide sheep and goats? Yet once God chose to use it in Moses' hand, the staff performed incredible miracles including creating a highway through the sea!
God says He can work with your mustard seed-size faith to move mountains, power through challenges, to produce miracles, and do do much more than you can imagine!
Enough said I guess! Whatever you have, whatever you are, wherever you are; God is able to use your imperfect self, your imperfect circumstances to charge your life and change your world. You have to take the step and yield it to Him.
No situation is so bad that God cannot turn it around. Give Him your imperfect situation, job, talent, child, life, etc and watch Him do what He does best!
