I must confess, sometimes I get a bit irritated with people I expect to be eating meat and chewing bones who are still drinking milk! I suppose you also know a person or two who have been Christians for a bit, who grew up in church, people who are in church or who were raised in godly households, who do not exactly act like they are growing in their faith.
2 kings 6, the prophet Elisha's servant woke up early in the morning, opened the door and saw a huge Aramean army, horses and chariots surrounding the city of Samaria! In full panic mode, he ran to his master "...“Oh no, my Lord! What shall we do?” 2 Kings 6:15.
Elisha surveyed the situation and assured the servant they were safe since those with them were more than those against them. Of course that did not calm the servant down because all he could see were the two of them against an army.
Elisha did not get annoyed at the servant or tell him how disappointed he was in him or how little faith he had. Neither did he tell the servant to get out of his way till he got his faith fixed. Elisha prayed for him. "And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord , so that he may see.”..." 2 Kings 6:17
Do not get irritated with those you think are spiritually immature. Be patient with them and pray for them. That is how I handle my irritation when it creeps up on me.
We are all at different stages in our walk with God. Be thankful that you are where you are and help the slow ones on their journey too. Stretch your hand towards them and pull them along and if for whatever reason you cannot do that, at least pray for them!
