ATTRACTING THE BLESSINGS OF GOD
The Kingdom of God operates on principles. When God was directing Noah to build the Ark, He told Noah to be careful to build the Ark according to a pattern. In the same way, when it comes to the blessings of God there are principles that you must follow to attract those blessings. Every child of God desires the blessings of God, so it is important to know what you must do to attract His blessings.
A Holy Life: As a believer who has accepted Jesus Christ as your savior you must live a holy life, because the Bible says in Heb 12:14, without holiness no one will be able to see the Lord. One must live a life that pleases God. A Christian should not live in sin but rather make every effort to live a holy life pleasing to God. Everybody in the days of Noah was living in a way that was not pleasing to God, but the Scripture says, “But Noah found grace in the sight of God” (Gen 6:7). Noah found grace in the sight of God because he lived a life that pleased God. Don’t be a child of God and live in sin.
Prayer: Prayer is the most powerful tool God has given to believers. The world doesn’t have this tool and cannot use it. By prayer we can deploy angelic intervention into situations, cause impossible situations to become possible and defeat the evil one, the devil and the all host of demons that fight us. Unless a believer believes in prayer and prays, he cannot operate in the power of God. Prayer attracts God. Hannah did not have a child, but she turned to the Lord and prayed earnestly, crying to the Lord to give her a child and God answered her and gave her a baby boy. When Hannah was bringing the boy to the Priest she said, “For this child, I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him”. (1 Sam 1:27). Prayer can make seemingly impossible situations in our lives become possible. Our Lord Jesus said in Luke 18:1 that men ought to pray always and not lose heart. Don’t give up on your prayer life.
Giving: When you give to support the work of the kingdom of God, you attract the blessings of God. Abraham gave his son and he became the father of nations. The Shunamite woman convinced her husband and they built a place of rest for the man of God and God blessed her with a child. The widow of Zarephath gave her last meal to the Prophet and God blessed her in such a way that the food in her house never run out even in the famine season. Sacrificial giving to the Lord will attract His blessings into your life. When you give to support a man of God and the work of the kingdom, it attracts the blessings of God.
May the Lord help us to live holy lives, remain prayerful and be givers who give to support the work of God. God is faithful, He will bless us and we will be filled with joy and give thanks to God.
