STOP!!!

Have you ever asked God why He did not stop you from going to that place or taking that decision which resulted in disastrous consequences? I mean God knows our thoughts before we act on them so why watch us act when He can just wave His hand or speak one word to stop us?

Gen 26:1 tells us that famine occurred in the land where Isaac, son of Abraham lived. So he and his wife moved to the Philistine town of Gerar to seek greener pastures. While there, "The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live." Genesis 26:2

Doubtless Isaac was making plans to go down to Egypt; perhaps because it was a far more prosperous place or because his father had gone to Egypt in a similar situation. God did not want Isaac to go there so He stopped him as clearly as He could. It simply was not His will for Isaac to make that move!

If only God had stepped into your situation like that a few years ago, a couple of months ago or even last week, things would have been so different huh?

Actually God does all the time. All the cautions, warnings, directions, instructions, guides, etc., we need are contained in His word, the Bible! Fortunately for us, if there is anything in there we do not understand, God has given us the Holy Spirit, our divine Helper, Counselor and Teacher to clear up any confusion. As if that is not enough God had given us men and women of God to counsel, guide and help us even further.

We are a blessed generation indeed. So if you find yourself in a conundrum, in a free fall into disaster, or dealing with some harsh consequences from your decisions, do not ask "why didn't God warn or stop me?". He tried to, in fact He did; you just did not see or hear it or you chose to disobey it! Look into His word and do better next time.

Blessings!

Love, Lady Monica ❤
